Columbus, Ohio – Ohio Hemp Farmers Cooperative, an organization of hemp industry professionals, lobbyists and up and comers announced the date of the 2nd Annual Hemp Farm Summit to be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Circleville, Ohio. The Hemp Farm Summit was established in 2018 to bring together the individuals interested in seeding, farming, processing, packaging and marketing hemp in the State of Ohio. The caliber and expert speakers attending will be speaking on the new legalities, what it means to work with the Hemp Farmers Cooperative (Co-Op) as a new or existing land owner and farmer, insurance, banking and much more.
As an industry event, this is not for the general consumer seeking product information, but for individuals and organizations seeking qualified industry knowledge and networking. “Education is the key to success in this budding industry. I want to make it easier for farmers to get into the market as the opportunities are wide open. It all starts with the farmers.” said Julie Doran, founder and President of the Ohio Hemp Farmers Co-Op. “The level of interest in our initiatives has only grown in the past year. With Governor DeWine signing the Senate Bill 57 decriminalizing hemp products in the State in July, we are looking to educate those interested in planting and farming hemp crops for production in 2020 and beyond.”
The Hemp Farm Summit is open to anyone interested in or already working in the hemp industry. We anticipate more than 200 attendees during the one-day event. In addition to top level speakers, the event will include vendors working in seed cultivation, organic pesticide, processing companies, legal and banking entities, and many more.
$40 pre-registration/ $45 day of. Registration includes one full attendance plus a healthy lunch. Tickets to the summit are available at Eventbrite: Hemp Farm Summit. The Summit will be at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds in Circleville, Ohio on Saturday, September 28th from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The Ohio Hemp Farmers Co-operative looks forward to welcoming existing farmers in the State of Ohio, current landholders, and those interested in this dynamic new field. We also welcome processors, product developers, and resellers.

About Ohio Hemp Farmers Cooperative
The Ohio Hemp Farmers Cooperative started as a group of caring and concerned farmers interested to bring the reality of hemp farming to many in the State of Ohio. We address the need of knowledge and resource sharing by creating events, introductions, a secure network portal and growing partnerships. We offer support to new and emerging farmers by buying high-grade products in bulk, and offering it along with consulting and educational seminars to our members. Member partners are able to rent farming equipment off of the co-op come harvest time and we offer a buying program to redistribute crops to our valued processors after harvest.
